For light therapy treatments I knew I could choose between a handheld device or this masque, both of which had pros and cons. In the end, I prefer this device because I know every part of my face is being treated at once which means there's less room for user error, and it actually gave me 8 minutes of peace to myself. Though you're plugged in to the mains, the wire is a generous length so I was able to bop around my room listening to The 1975, looking like a Daft Punk reject. I'm going to have to come up with a list of things I can do in 8 minutes without being able to see, but I do actually like having the opportunity to just completely disconnect and pamper myself for a bit. If you wear glasses make sure everything is set up and you're 100% sure of the instructions before you put the mask on! Did I remove the mask and look like Angelina Jolie circa 1994? No, but I FELT better, and knowing how the technology works I'm definitely excited to see my results 8 weeks down the line.
